Memory Monday

I have no Memory Monday picture today... Instead I ask that you remember and say a prayer for those sweet angel babies that have been called to heaven.

I'll Be There
Daddy please don't look so sad,
Momma please don't cry,
Cause I am in the arms of Jesus
and He sings me lullabies.
Please try not to question God,Don't think He is unkind.
Don't think He sent me to you,
And then He changed His mind.
You see, I am a Special Child,
And I am needed up above,
I'm the special gift you gave Him,
The product of your love.
I'll always be there with you,
And watch the sky at night
Find the brightest star that's gleaming,
That's my halo's brilliant light
You'll see me in the morning frost,
That mists your windowpane.
That's me, in the summer showers,
I'll be dancing in the rain.
When you feel a gentle breeze,
From a gentle wind that blows,
That's me, I'll be there, Planting a kiss on your nose.
When you see a child playing,
And your heart feels a little tug,
That's me, I'll be there, giving your heart a hug
So, Daddy, please don't look so sad,
Mommy don't you cry.
I'm in the arms of Jesus,
and He sings me lullabies.

Memory Monday (on Tuesday)

Since we were in Vegas this last weekend I thought I would post a memory Monday picture from Vegas a few years ago.

This was a trip we took March 17, 2007 weekend! This was supposed to be the weekend Mini D got married, so we all went to Vegas to party instead! Her shirt said: Wedding Planner $1000, My Dream Dress $1500, Ditching the Loser Priceless.

Ha ha ha :) Good times!

I have a tattoo that not many know about!

I am addicted to having cute designs on my toenails.

I LOVE pink bubble gum!

Why?

Random questions I have thought of this weekend!

Why do people who are never home have pets?

Why do people take pictures of another persons kids and pretend they are their grandchildren?

Why do so many people insist on being in on a delivery?

Why is it so hard to believe you can diet and exercise and loose weight?

Why do grown up people take sides?

Why can’t you walk through a store without being asked 100 times if you need help looking for something?

Why do people say “Oh I shouldn’t have this” as they are shoving it in their mouth?

Why does the trainer lie and say do it for 30 seconds and stop the timer at 45?

missing post

I had this lengthy post I worked on last night, and guess what I lost it lol... So I will have to recreate it later and post it tonight after I get home from work :) Not much is new this week... My trainer has been kicking my butt this week! I felt like I was run over after today, but in the end it will be worth it, I'll be a little hottie tottie lol...... Miss Emma Baffert had her tubes tied today and some baby teeth removed, the good news is they didn't feel it was necessary to do the hernia repair, they think it will self correct as she grows older. So my mom and mini D are going to pick her up at 1730. I will put up some post op pictures of our little baby later.

Syrian Rice and String Beans

This is a Lebanese dish, you can make the rice as a side dish, or add the string beans for a meal. I can promise you this, once you make the rice, you'll never go back to eating plain white rice as a side dish ever again!

Ingredients needed:

Rice:
1 cup long grain rice (can't be instant)

1/4 cup vermicelli (found in the pasta isle or the Mexican food isle)

1 tablespoon butter

2 cups water

1 tablespoon chicken bullion

Salt and Pepper

String Beans:
1 can cut green beans
2 smalls cans of tomato sauce

In a sauce pan that has a tight fitting lid, brown the vermicelli with the butter on medium heat stirring the entire time as to not burn the vermicelli. Add 1 cup rice and stir.

Bring to a rapid boil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, chicken boullion and put the lid on. lower to medium low heat and cook for 25 minutes. DO NOT lift the lid or rice will not cook.

Remove from heat, lift lid, be careful because steam will release. Stir the rice. Rice should be fluffy. Serve as a side dish to a meal.

For string bean sauce, bring tomato sauce and green beans to a boil, remove from heat and serve over rice.

I bet this is what artists feel when they hit a road block. I keep sitting here staring at my blank screen waiting for some profound words to come pouring out…….. And nothing…..

I do have many thoughts racing through my head. It is sad that we have become such a hi tech society that we have so many social networks out there, because I think it helps us to deviate away from face to face conversations. How much easier is it to “post” on someone’s wall “hey how are you?” instead of picking up the phone and calling that person.

Tonight I did a little reminiscing via text of course with an old friend from 10+ years ago, “Prince Charming Cowboy”. Do you know what I remember most, sitting outside of work or his house talking. I know what a concept huh? We actually sat around talking to each other in person. Perhaps that is why we had such a good friendship, because we talked to each other.

{Yeah, there is a chapter floating out there in my computer about that Prince Charming Cowboy… I just haven’t posted it yet… Soon….}

I’m grateful that I know people who still don’t text, because those are phone conversations I look forward to each week.

Before you send your next text message to someone asking how they are, why not pick up the phone and call them instead, or meet them in person?
